Regular cleanup tasks should not be limited to temporary files. If you have old files on your hard drive, which you haven't accessed in a long time, then it would be pointless to keep them. Most cleanup utilities are aimed at junk files, but if you wish to delete old files, regardless of their type, you can use Cyber-D's Autodelete. It can automatically delete old files, according to your preferences. You only need to make a few simple specifications and the application will do the rest. It will delete the files without any user input each time you turn on your computer or on demand.

Cyber-D's Autodelete is offered free of charge, but you can make a donation if you wish to support future developments. The application can be installed in a matter of seconds, on any modern Windows platform. It doesn't ask for too many resources and you don't need to install any prerequisite tools or services.

The software comes with a clean and efficient configurations panel, on which you can decide what files to delete and how. When your settings are complete, you won't have to interact with the configurations panel anymore, unless you wish to target new data. As previously mentioned, the application will delete your files automatically when you turn on your computer. Alternatively, you can start the operation at a time of your choice, by running an executable.

You can set Cyber-D's Autodelete to clean one or more local folders by adding them to a list. Additionally, you can make a series of tweaks, on different tabs, in the lower region of the configurations menu. The software allows you to set up filters, to ignore files with specific names or extensions or to focus only on those specific files. Also, it is definitely worth mentioning that Cyber-D's Autodelete can ignore documents if your keywords are contained within the documents.

The possibility of setting up date filters is one of the software's central features. Depending on your settings, it will delete files that are older than a given number of years, days, hours or minutes. Additionally, you can set the program to compare these periods to the creation modifications and access dates.

Besides deleting files, Cyber-D's Autodelete can also shred them or move them to a folder of your choice. Other options can be enabled, if you wish to include sub-folders and to delete them if they remain empty after the cleanup process. The best part is that Cyber-D's Autodelete doesn't need to work in the background at all times. The program will run automatically when the operating system starts up, to clean up your files, after which it will shut down automatically.

Pros

The software can automatically delete old files, according to your settings, when you turn on your computer or on demand. It allows you to make a wide range of fine adjustments, without any effort. Also, the software doesn't need to run in the background at all times.

Cons

Cyber-D's Autodelete may not work properly if the Windows User Account Control feature is turned on. If your hard drive is full of documents or other files you don't need anymore, Cyber-D's Autodelete can get rid of them for you, in just a few seconds.
